Salary: £36,269 pa + good range of benefits (maternity cover)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Policy & Programmes team of World Vision UK for a minimum of 6 months. A place where you will have the chance to manage World Vision’s Programme Partnership Arrangement (PPA) with DfID, and meeting their need for greater alignment and sustainability of PPA within the context of World Vision’s wider work.

By managing this portfolio, you will be instrumental in contributing to the charity’s 5-year strategic goal – transforming a phenomenal eight million lives and engaging with 500,000 supporters.

Primary responsibilities for this important role include:

  • Team Management: you will lead, matrix manage a team of Outcome Leads to achieve the  PPA targets
  • Partner Relations: ensuring effective relations are maintained as well as engaging with colleagues in their National and Regional Offices around the world
  • Donor Requirements: manage programme reporting and other performance management, and overall accountability to the donor
  • Donor Relations: manage communications with DfID’s Inclusive Society Department and participate in PPA networking and learning events, including with the donor’s Learning Partnership.

Reporting to the Head of Grants, you will manage the PPA budget and provide support in managing the internal PPA Steering Committee ensuring key decisions and recommendations are brought to the Steering Committee’s attention.

Overseeing PPA projects you will support any project evaluations and manage overall PPA effective implementation.

As a graduate (international development or related field) you will be an experienced development professional with a proven track record of project management and strong understanding of programme assessment, design, monitoring and evaluation, and sound financial management. You will be a flexible self-starter, problem solver and a team player with great attention to detail and the ability to work cross-organisationally without supervision.

Travel up to 20% of the year to regions which are served by World Vision will be required and these include fragile states where they operate in order to help change children’s lives for the better.
