Resourcing Group Futures is currently recruiting for a Justice Director to work for a national NFP Organisation to drive the delivery of two major prime contracts (NOMS CFO co-funded by the ESF) and to facilitate growth into new sectors within Youth Justice and Offender Learning and Skills.
Through these contracts the organisation, together with their subcontractor partners, will support over 17,000 offenders and will deliver high quality individually tailored support inside 17 prisons/ YOIs across 6 CRC (Probation Trust) areas.
They will be delivering through both custody and community based support and will be focused on transforming the lives of ex-offenders and promoting social inclusion. They aim to work with ex-offender’s throughout their journey in order to support them to overcome barriers and develop the skills and resources needed to lead positive and productive lives.
Resourcing Groups client is an organisation with an exceptional track record and expertise in planning, setting-up and implementing complex service contracts particularly to challenging timescales. You will be supporting the Chief Executive and Board in all matters relating to Ministry of Justice (MOJ) business and providing input, briefings, background and liaison as and when required. You will be working with an outstanding team of dedicated professionals and will have the full support of the SMT and Board.
The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience leading and delivering Justice / MOJ / ESF contracts in the UK and have a proven track record of winning and managing the delivery of complex contracts and business model development.
You will need to be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of finance and managing financial success within complex contracts, experience of delivering major Justice/ MOJ budgets and have a clear understanding of the strategic and delivery issues around Justice (NOMS and OLASS).
You will be responsible for both the operational and strategic management of the Directorate and will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities alongside an in-depth understanding of the political and tendering arenas.

Functional Skills Tutor (Maths) – Training Provider with MK Christian Foundation
Salary: £18,000 – £21,000 p.a pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience)
Terms: Permanent, part-time (15 hours a week)

A Milton Keynes based Training Provider is seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver teaching in Maths up to and including level 2 to their 16-19 year old trainees on the EFA funded Study Programme. Based in their centre in Wolverton you will generally work with small group of about 4 to 5 trainees but where appropriate on a one to one basis.
All their trainees work in one of their social enterprises (catering, horticulture, childcare, graphic design, hospitality or cycle repair) where they gain vocational skills and qualifications, but also have the opportunity to develop embedded functional skills through the work of the enterprise. All those without a maths or English GCSE (A-C) receive formal teaching with the aim of enabling them to achieve at least one level above their achievement on entry.
This is a permanent post for 15 hours a week. To be considered for this post they would expect you to have experience in the delivery of Functional Skills training to groups of learners aged 16 to 19 and NEET. You should possess a relevant teaching qualification with PTLLS as a minimum along with a level 3 qualification in literacy or numeracy.
For this post you will need an enhanced DBS check.
Main Duties
- Teach trainees in Functional Skills (Maths) to qualifications standard
- Design Functional Skills sessions in conjunction with their Training Manager to awarding body requirements
- Keep trainee progress reports up to date, tracking progress against sessions delivered
- Liaise with enterprise staff to ensure class-room based learning is embedded through the work of the enterprise
Key requirements
- Previous experience in delivering Functional Skills to young people
- Holder of a teaching qualification
- Experience working with young people, particularly NEET young people
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to design schemes of work and session plans to awarding body qualification requirements
- Good IT skills
- Knowledge and experience of delivering English and ICT training
