Coram Voice exists to enable and equip children and young people to hold the system to account, to challenge and support it to do its job properly and to uphold the rights of children and young people to actively participate in shaping their own lives.
Coram Voice has been commissioned to provide the independent advocacy service for looked after children, children involved in child protection processes; children in need and care leavers supported by Milton Keynes Council. They are looking for a number of advocates to join their established national team and to form a dedicated team in Milton Keynes. Their Milton Keynes team will be staffed to maximise the service’s resilience and flexibility and they are offering opportunities to take up these roles on a part time or full time basis.
Advocates will support children and young people in a range of settings and locations within and outside the Milton Keynes borders. Applicants will therefore need to work with a degree of flexibility to accommodate short notice referrals and changing circumstances which occur in children’s lives. The post will be home based and this will be discussed further at interview.

Support Worker with Creative Support

Creative Support is developing new Supported Living service in Milton Keynes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care, practical and emotional to people with a learning disability
- Identifying and accessing opportunities for social inclusion with service users
- Collaborating with service users, families, and involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service that meets the needs of service users
- Assisting the line manager with the day-to-day running of the service
Experience of working with people with a learning disability is desirable, as is a relevant professional qualification. The position is open to graduates, experienced practitioners, and people looking to start their career in social care. You must be warm and able to work in a person-centred way with people with a learning disability. A clean, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
You will be expected to work flexibly on a rota to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
