Local volunteer Crad Allerton from Stony Stratford Medical Centre PPG and the MK Patients Congress has kindly let us know about a number of printing deals he has negotiated for local charities and community groups.
Crad told us;
“There are many charities in MK, and most of them deal with printers at some time. It seemed a good idea to see if charities could save money by working together to get a better deal.
The first step was to see if print companies would be interested in the work opportunities for them and it was good to find that they were, and more importantly, prepared to make significant reductions to their normal rates to our local charities.
The following companies have agreed to support you. Obviously you need to go through your normal processes of getting quotes, and they need to avoid making a loss on work done, but I suggest you include them if after viewing their web pages and talking to them means they meet your requirements. If you do use them, you will also be supporting local employees.
And how about talking to other charities in your local Parish, or friends who don’t receive Community Action’s newsletters, with a view to sharing costs and resources?”
