A vacancy has arisen for a Head of Communications at Bletchley Park to lead and manage the team responsible for the delivery of the Park’s marketing, corporate communications, internal communications and media relations. This role is responsible for the management and creative implementation of the brand in order to, through careful marketing, increase visitor numbers at Bletchley Park.
The Head is responsible to the Director of Public Engagement for developing the necessary marketing channels and collateral required to increase the profile of Bletchley Park as a world-class visitor attraction. Previous experience working at a managerial or supervisory level in a marketing or communications department is essential.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to listen to and assist others. You will have great people management and time management skills and thrive on working under pressure. Excellent written skills, with fastidious attention to detail, are essential to this role.
Above all, you will have the vision and the initiative to drive the business forward through fantastic, innovative and timely communication campaigns.
The role will require some evening and weekend working.

Head of Collections and Exhibitions with Bletchley Park

A vacancy has arisen for a Head of Collections and Exhibitions at Bletchley Park to lead and manage the team responsible for the delivery of the exhibitions programme and collections management, including research, archiving, digital cataloguing and museum conservation. This role is responsible for the management of the historic fabric of the museum’s assets and creative implementation of the Bletchley Park story through exhibitions and interpretation.
You will need to build strong working relationships across the organisation, understanding their strategic priorities in order to shape a robust, imaginative and visitor-focused future plan for their collections and exhibitions.
You will demonstrate great leadership skills, have relevant project management experience and be able to liaise exceptionally with a wide variety of people. You will have the specific responsibility of bringing together the curatorial and exhibitions staff, utilising skill sets to enhance their offer.
Significant experience and knowledge of the museum and heritage industry is essential for this postholder, specifically experience working with collections and creating and delivering successful exhibitions and programmes.
The role will require some evening and weekend working.

Exhibitions Manager with Bletchley Park
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 dependant on experience

A vacancy has arisen for an Exhibitions Manager at Bletchley Park to organise and supervise the design, fabrication, construction and installation of exhibitions, the preparation of museum space for exhibitions and the preparation of any objects to be exhibited.
This role will work closely with the Curator, Research Historian and designers to prepare exhibitions, and work collaboratively with the rest of the Public Engagement department to ensure the exhibitions are planned and delivered in line with all other visitor operations and activities taking place across the Park.
Reporting to the Head of Collections and Exhibitions, you will be experienced in designing and implementing exhibitions and you will have with a proven track record of working collaboratively across organisations on project delivery. You will have experience of managing both internal and external teams.
You will demonstrate an organised and methodical approach to your work, whilst showing enthusiasm and the ability to think creatively. The nature of the work requires a very creative person, with a great team spirit and the ability to listen to and liaise exceptionally with a wide variety of people.
