Build church relations and networks to help change children’s lives for the better
This is the perfect job for an active and committed Christian to join World Vision UK as Churches Officer. Creating and managing relationships with churches and other key individuals, you will provide operational and logistical support to the Christian Engagement team by leading, coordinating and delivering on events such as conferences and festivals as well as developing new Christian experiences.
Key responsibilities will involve:
• Monitoring incoming communications and responding accordingly
• Leading on projects and relationships to enable World Vision UK to be present at designated Christian events and gatherings
• Overseeing and managing the Churches database and using it as a basis for developing relationships
• Representing World Vision around the UK, through face to face meetings or coordination of events
• Having active involvement in arranging overseas visits, travel and accommodation for key partners and Christian leaders.
Previous experience working in a Christian environment by delivering projects, creating networks and managing relationships, particularly within a Christian Church community will be necessary, so if you have worked for a Christian organisation, church or ministry, so much the better.
Excellent communication and project management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise workload, as well as coordinate events will be key requirements.
As a Christian, you will have the opportunity to integrate your faith and be sensitive to its various expressions across cultures and denominations.
This is a role where you will play your part in helping to keep every child free from fear. Whilst the majority of your time will be spent in the Milton Keynes office, there will need to be time spent in our London office.
