A vibrant and engaging, fringe arts festival in Milton Keynes, showcasing some of the most pioneering and experimental work in outdoor arts, immersive theatre, visual arts, performance, comedy, music and dance! As the official Fringe to the MK International Festival, MK Festival Fringe is held biennially, with a programme that includes specially commissioned, invited and self-funded productions.

MK Festival Fringe dates for 2016 are Wednesday 13th July to Saturday 23rd July

Put these dates in your diary and please share with your friends

Funding Partners

MK Festival Fringe is a community interest company that delivers MK Festival Fringe every two years using funding from our partners. The festival programme includes several free events, all presented within the unique and vibrant landscape of Milton Keynes. Our work is supported by funding from: Arts Council England, MK Council, CMK Town Council and MK Community Foundation for their continued support.

spacer image spacer image An Ideal Syllabus – working with MK Arts Centre we are proud to launch a professional development programme running for 6-months from May 2016.  Pop onto the website to express an interest or keep an eye on it next week where the full programme and application process will be listed.  The scheme will be free for 10 selected artists.
Urja Desai is one of 20 dancers that was nominated by her peers as a future leaders and she has been selected to take part in Dance UK’s Dancers’ Mentoring Programme 2015/16.  It is a programme designed to build capacity within the dance workforce and to ensure skills and knowledge retention in the sector, addressing problems of succession to key artistic and non-artistic roles.  Congratulations Urja
Urja DesaiUrja DesaiMK Business Achievement Awards – congratulations to our shortlisted creative and cultural partners for the 2016 award.  Good luck to all of you for the coming awards night… MK Gallery, The Stables, MK City Orchestra, Marc Davies Bespoke Interiors & Dancebox Studios
IF:MK – The International Festival has started promoting some of their programme and you can now buy tickets.  I would encourage you to get in their early.  I ordered my tickets for Voala: Station yesterday and cannot wait

Future Learn – there is a wealth of free courses covering arts & creative subjects, business and just about anything else you might like to learn about.  I have just completed the Smart Cities course which was fantastic.

Festivals PinterestFestivals 2016Christine Gallagher – who was selected to exhibit at the 2016 Columbia Threadneedle Prize is currently exhibiting at Stantonbury Gallery – definitely worth a look! And a belated well done to Christine on gaining such profile of her work
Arts Council Grants Portal – I’ve spent a bit of time playing around with the new portal which is used to apply for Grants for the Arts.  I can confirm that it seems to be the same questions as per the last system but the system isn’t very intuitive so do give yourself plenty of time to become familiar with the system and undertake the pre-registration if you’re planning on applying anytime soon.
Green Town Group – MK Gallery secured funding from Ernest Cook Trust and have started a new schools artists outdoor project.  Read more about it Green Town Group
