Project Coordinator with On The Verge
Salary: Freelance basis (52 days / 416 hours @ £11.50 per hour) worked over the life of the project.
Terms: Fixed Term Contract, April 2016 – February 2017.

‘Underpasses – Connecting People, Connecting Places’ project
Working closely with the Project Manager the Project Coordinator will assist in the delivery of the project and undertake administrative duties; including coordinating and managing the recruitment of artists for the community engagement process and the programme of activities with schools and other local groups; coordinating underpasses unveiling events; and will work with the Project Manager on the development of the two children’s publications, Heritage trail leaflet and App and printed project related materials.
The Project Coordinator will be also responsible for the recruitment and assessment of volunteers, ensuring volunteers meet the criteria for the project; designing and leading the delivery of appropriate induction, including health and safety training and OTV’s policies and procedures; managing the allocation of volunteers to appropriate areas of work; and providing regular supervision and support to volunteers in their placements.
On the Verge (OTV) is a CIC which is delivering the ‘Gateways Project’, a long-term independent public art project with a focus on the estates around the central area of Milton Keynes. The first phase, the ‘Banners’ project, has been successfully delivered and with funding from HLF, On the Verge is now preparing the delivery of the Underpasses project for the MK50 celebration in 2017.
The key aim of On The Verge is to improve ‘place identity’, engaging with specific communities around the central area of Milton Keynes.
