Salary: £31,656 to £37,768

Terms: Temporary contract for 9 months for maternity cover

An exciting opportunity has arisen in The Open University’s fundraising Prospect Research Team, based in the Development Office. They are seeking to appoint a Prospect Research Manager. The role involves managing the Prospect Research team in support of the fundraising teams across the Unit and ensuring that high quality, tailored prospect research is produced for all functions.

You will support the management in proactive research into new prospects, as well as researching information from various sources, synthesising data and preparing briefings, database administration and prospect management. The role also includes interrogating research information to assess financial capacity, philanthropic tendencies and links to The Open University.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. You will have experience of leading a prospect research team, collecting and analysing fundraising research data, as well as the ability to present your findings to a wide audience.

This is an exciting position in an ambitious team that will provide valuable experience of working with a busy Prospect Research Team, especially in support of the University’s first capital campaign.
