New project is rewarding volunteers for getting themselves and their communities more active in Milton Keynes.
A project, being run as a pilot by Community Action: MK in association with the Milton Keynes Physical Activity Alliance, is recruiting the people of Milton Keynes to become volunteers in Physical Activity related roles. Every volunteer that gets involved in the selected roles will be rewarded with monthly credits that will offer them a free session for leisure activities across the city, including at 1Life, MK Leisure, and Fitness First facilities. Interested? Here is just a few examples of the types of things you could get involved with:
-
Health Walks Leaders with Milton Keynes Council
-
Cycle Ride Leader with British Cycling
-
Swimming Lessons Assistant with Stantonbury Arts & Leisure
Specialist training will be provided in some of theses roles, and you could make a real difference to the health of the city, so take a look at these and many more available at: www.communityactionmk.org/volunteering/physicalactivity.
This work has been supported by funding from MK Community Foundation and Public Health, Milton Keynes Council, and donations from 1Life, MK Leisure and Fitness First.
