We’re sharing stories about amazing volunteers giving their time in Milton Keynes. This spotlight is on Michael Sheppard, who is a keen activist for low carbon living.

Michael volunteers as part of the local community group, Transition MK and at Bletchley Foodbank. He runs educational activities for children at MK Discovery Centre (and schools in Milton Keynes). Active member of the recently formed MK Community Energy Alliance.

Michael works tirelessly as part of the local community group, Transition MK, and on many other environmental and other initiatives across Milton Keynes. He campaigns on behalf of and promotes local action for low carbon living and social justice, and comes up with new solution to problems. He is currently running an Off Grid Solar Lighting project for which he has received a funding from Our MK project. Find out about his project here.

Members of Transition MK say “Michael is one of the most dedicated, passionate and proactive volunteer I have ever met through my work and in general. A real champion for Milton Keynes and the amazing community work happening in the city.“
