Friday 4th November – 10am-12pm: Moorlands Children’s and Community Centre.
We have teamed up with The National Energy Foundation to promote their new Keeping Kids Cosy programme and our CAPE project at the weekly coffee morning at Moorlands Centre in Beanhill. If you live in the Woughton area, come along on the 4th November to get useful tips and advice related to your energy use, and to find out more about the concept of community-owned energy, such as the Milton Keynes-based, Wolverton Community Energy.
Just some the CAPE project tools will make data available to citizens in Milton Keynes, which will help determine what solar potential there is for certain areas in the city (and more!). See below the solar potential map for CMK (satellite view).
Wolverton Community Energy has been running for over a year, with solar installations completed at various sites across Milton Keynes, including in Kiln Farm and Camphill Communities. Find out more about how the project works (and how you can get involved) here. For more information, contact Anna at: anna@communityactionmk.org.
