Energage …… Become a Community Energy Champion!
This new community project in Milton Keynes is looking for individuals interested in energy related issues, with focus on community-owned energy.
The project will create a network of Community Energy Champions, who will be provided with free interactive training to equip them with the skills needed to go out to their communities and assist them with energy related issues.
During February – March 2017 volunteers will participate in 5 co-designed workshops:
- Basic concept of climate change and reducing carbon footprint
- Community engagement techniques and how to use social media
- How to use CAPE data to help communities
- Practical demonstrations of skills
- Sharing experiences and evaluation
This is a great opportunity to:
- Learn about community energy
- Be the first to explore CAPE, the new interactive energy tool for Milton Keynes
- Engage with your local community
- Unique opportunity to collaborate with researchers at The Open University
