MK Academy are pleased to invite you to their next Business Breakfast networking event on Wednesday 15th March 2017. The theme of this event will be a discussion of how Milton Keynes is able to take its place in leading cutting edge technology and innovation in this its 50th Year!
They will have two guest speakers as well as students from the Academy talking about creative projects they are involved in. The guest speakers are:
Steve Chown, Entrepreneur Development Manager
Entrepreneurial Spark is the world’s largest free accelerator programme helping Entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses. In partnership with NatWest, it now has 12 accelerator hubs around the UK with a 13th opening in London in the summer. It delivers an inspiring working environment along with coaching, mentoring and ongoing bespoke training sessions.
Dr Harin Sellahewa, Senior Lecturer in Computer Science, University of Buckingham
Harin teaches Fundamentals of Computing, Image Processing, Mobile Applications Development, Software Engineering and Software Project Management at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is Programme Director for the BSc in Computing and Software Entrepreneurship, and Senior Link Tutor and Research Officer for SSST Collaboration.
Harin’s research interests are: face recognition in constrained devices; context-aware adaptive biometric systems; biometric template security and user privacy; automated analysis of biomedical images and biological assays; content-based image / video indexing; and ICT in education.
