As part of MK50, a new event is beginning this week. It is called Take Notice Photography Competition.

The competition aims to encourage residents to ‘Take Notice’  of Milton Keynes to improve their mental wellbeing.

Images can be of a landmark, a place, an event, local nature or local people- whatever inspires  residents and encourages them to ‘Take Notice’ of MK. Photos must be accompanied by a short caption stating why the image makes residents  ‘Take Notice’ of MK.

10 photographs will be selected for printing and feature in a competition display during Mental Health Awareness week (8-14 May 2017) in Intu in the centre of MK. 2 winning entries from each category will be chosen- winners will receive a prize of framed print and Intu shopping vouchers. A copy of the MK Photography book  Unexpected by Gill Prince will be given to the 3 runners up in each category.

There are two age categories: 5-16 years and 16+

Deadline for submissions is  14th April 2017 and winners will be notified at the beginning of May.
