We’re sharing stories about amazing volunteers giving their time in Milton Keynes. This spotlight is on Jean Cooper, who is volunteering at The Stables.
Jean works in the Operation Department at The Stables, organising over 250 volunteers. She volunteers in the Cafe Bar during the day preparing sandwiches for our acts, in the evening serving food and drinks, and at intervals dealing with orders. She supports the Events Team to provide a first class service to all our customers and is also involved in administration of our Friends Scheme.
Jean is an incredibly hard worker and an inspiration to all at the Stables whether another volunteer or a member of staff. She has the dedication to inspire others to go that extra mile and always with a laugh – she is incredibly popular and no-one can understand where she gets all her energy from – she turned 83 in December!
Staff from the Stables say: “All our volunteers work hard making The Stables a first class music venue and we are incredibly proud of them all but Jean really is an inspiration to us all!”
