Foundation House – Community Activity and Facilities Coordinator
Job type: Permanent, Full-time, very occasional weekend and evening work
Salary: £16,500-£17,500 pa
This position requires an enhanced DBS check.
Foundation House provides spaces for growing people and community. As well as being the home of the Christian Foundation and base for our training activities and a number of our social enterprises we want to use our premises to develop activities that grow people and community too.
You will lead a small team of trainees to develop Foundation House as:
a gathering place full of diversity, creativity and positive activity;
a learning place that, as well as supporting young people, also offers learning opportunities
for the wider community;
an empowering place offering a wide range of community growing activities and events and
supporting new and growing local community groups and activities
a welcoming place for members of the public, our trainees and enterprise activities.
Key targets:
A well-attended programme of community activities, with spaces well used.
Trainees developing hospitality skills and gaining qualifications
Effectively maintained and supported community spaces
Key requirements
You will have:
Knowledge and experience of developing community activities and events
Experience of facilities management
Good communication skills, confident in relating effectively to a wide range of people
Experience of working with young people and keen to see them fulfill their potential
Strong administrative skills
Flexible and good at working under pressure
GCSE or LV2 in maths and English
Strong Team work skills
Creative and solution focused
