You are invited to attend a Weaving Trust Against Hate event which will explore the issue of racial and religious hatred within our community using the Weaving Trust approach:
- listening to personal testimonies
- one to one discussion to deepen our understanding
- a short plenary discussion on the insights gained
Hear from the Fight Against Hate team to find out what actions they are taking.
The group is looking for a diverse group of people, ideally with stories to tell of things they have experienced or witnessed, not only of hatred but also of reconciliation and reaching out. The event will be attended by representatives from the police and city council.
The event is being hosted at Granby Mosque but it is not focused on Islamophobia or ISIS extremism, you will be exploring the wider problem.
The mosque will be arranging refreshments, and please bring your mobile phone – they will explain on the day.
Venue: Granby Mosque, Zainabiya Islamic Centre, Peverel Drive, Bletchley, MK1 1NW
Time: Saturday 21st October 2017 – 2-4pm.
Please register if you would like to attend.
