Over the last couple of years Big Local Conniburrow (BLC) have been working with the local residents and groups to turn aspirations for a community orchard into a reality, which has finally been realised. Planted in March 2017 with 50 fruit and nut trees, soft fruit bushes, grapevines, and raised beds, the orchard is available both to the local residents and the wider community in Milton Keynes – to use and enjoy.
Big Local Conniburrow would like to invite all community members and groups, and anyone with an interest in this great and innovative project, to come along to their opening event on Saturday 30th September: 12-4pm.
The event will be packed with lots of activities and attractions for all the family. Pete Marland, the leader of MK Council will officially open the Orchard.
Community Action: MK are delighted to be working on this initiative and the event through the Community Champions Scheme in conjunction with Big Local Conniburrow.
If you have any questions about the event please email Big Local Conniburrow.
