Adaptive ski/snowboarding sessions are held at Snozone MK on the second Sunday monthly to aid people with various disabilities to be able to ski/snowboard.
Volunteer instructors and guides trained in adaptive methods of teaching skiing/boarding are required to teach the learners.
Helpers (even non skiers) are needed to assist the instructors, pull sit skis from the bottom of the slope to the drag lift, operate and assist with the drag lift and assist at registration etc.
Kitting up and registration starts at 5:30 and the session ends at 9pm.
Initial induction/training is given to helpers and the opportunity to take training courses to become an instructor exist but would incur costs for the volunteer.
Friendly volunteers with good communication skills needed.
