Homeless Shelter Manager – The Bus Shelter MK

The Bus Shelter MK will provide short-term accommodation aboard a converted double decker bus for people who would have no other option but to sleep rough on the streets of Milton Keynes.

In addition to providing a safe, warm environment, with shower block and laundry facilities, it will signpost residents to support services which will assist them in moving into more permanent housing and more stable living situations.

They are looking for a confident, caring and creative leader to manage our accommodation, the experience for our residents and ensure safety on board.  Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, you will be joining at an exciting and critical time as they launch the service this autumn.

Experience working with homelessness or in a related sector is essential. NVQ level 3 or equivalent an advantage. This post is offered on a full time (37 hours per week), permanent basis and includes some unsocial hours including weekend work. The annual salary range is £21,500 to £25,000 based on skills and experience with an Employer matched pension contribution of up to 5%. The post holder will be required to independently travel to various locations.
