The Buckingham Canal Society was founded in 1992 to promote the restoration of the disused Buckingham Canal. The Society is led by a group of 8 Trustees and holds committee meetings 6 times a year.

They are recruiting new trustees to work as part of a team with the Buckingham Canal Society, carrying out the following duties:

  • Plan and prepare agendas for committee meetings
  • Ensure that committee and the AGM are run according to the constitution
  • Ensuring the charity complies with the Charity Commission’s requirements
  • Dealing with correspondence as agreed at committee meetings.

Desirable: interest in canals and restoring a disused canal and being part of a forward looking charity.
