Experts gather to make sport and activity more accessible for disabled people.

The second Bucks & MK Disability Summit will take place on Tuesday 22nd May. Kindly supported by Slater & Gordon, the event will welcome disability organisations and sport and activity providers to start conversations about how together we can break down the barriers to disabled people becoming and staying active.

Only 17.2% of disabled people take part in moderate physical activity once a week however seven in ten disabled people say they want to be more active.  Showing that more work is needed to ensure we have an active county for all.

We’d like to support your organisation to use physical activity and sport to improve the lives of your service users, the agenda has been carefully planned to benefit two audiences, but not exclusively these. Firstly, disability organisations who provide a service to residents with an impairment but do not currently use physical activity and sport as a tool to engage and improve lives.  And secondly, sport and activity providers who want to be more inclusive and those deliverers that can already demonstrate expertise in delivering to a range of impairment groups.
