Over the course of the day you’ll be able to attend sessions on a range of topics relevant to the voluntary sector in Milton Keynes. Stay all day or drop in for what interests you. The timetable will be released shortly!

How do we PLAN SERVICES?
David Pye from Simpson & Ashland Parish Council will share the learning from their experience of using research on residents views of the support they would like to see in the future to enhance their health and wellbeing.

How do we address WHAT MATTERS?
VP of MK Community Foundation, Retired NHS Consultant Physician (Public Health and Addiction Medicine Consultant) Vasco Fernandes will present the Community Foundation’s Vital Signs work and help groups to navigate how they best use the information contained within it.

Leadership and Governance Space

How can we LEAD COLLECTIVELY?
Owain Smolović Jones and Nela Smolović Jones of the Open University will facilitate two workshops that help participants unpack and develop leadership. They will help participants build practices such as embodied responsiveness, conversation and collective storytelling, supporting them to think and enact leadership in fresh and generative ways.

Alissa Pemberton and May Chung from Community Action: MK will be talking about our forthcoming State of the Sector survey. Nicky Kenny will share learning from the Pedalling Culture project which seeks to encourage sustainable transport use when visiting cultural venues and ask how we can encourage behaviour change and help people slow down in this fast paced world?

How do we IMPROVE PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
Rebecca Kurth from CMK Town Council will share her research on public transport and her experiences with engaging stakeholders and communities to kickstart discussion on how we help people influence public transport and public policy.
