Seeking additional Trustees

The Bus Shelter MK is a much loved local charity which provides a temporary home – and much, much more – for people who would otherwise be sleeping on the streets.

Since we opened in March 2018 we have accommodated and supported over 50 people and advised more than 150 others.  Our guests have ranged in age from 19 to 73 and stay with us for an average of four months while we support them into work and a sustainable home.

We are now seeking at least one additional trustee to join our board.

We are particularly interested in applicants who have worked in the homeless sector, or have experience in charity fundraising, volunteer management or board secretariat. Our board meets monthly (currently on the evening of the second Tuesday of each month), and the trustees contribute varying number of hours per month, depending on need and their circumstances.

The role is voluntary.
