Living Archive MK and MK Heritage Association will be co-ordinating Heritage Open Days (HODs) in Milton Keynes again this year on behalf of MK Council.  This year HODs runs over ten consecutive days from 11th to the 20th of September. HODs 2019 was very successful with 150+ events across Milton Keynes attracting 17,500 people over the ten days.

This year’s theme (set by national HODs) is “Hidden Nature” – for more info please see their website here: https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/organising/hidden-nature

With this theme in mind, we would like to invite community groups working in the natural environment – gardening clubs, allotment societies, community orchards/gardens and so forth –  to take part in HODs by running events, guided walks, open days etc.

All you will have to do is register with us and fill in a form – we will do the rest, including publicity on the national HODs website, the MK HODs site,  listings in our events brochure and promotion via social media.

HODs events have to be free of charge to their participants/visitors, but groups can offer merchandise for sale (which could be plants, seeds, produce etc) or offer teas & coffees to recoup any costs associated.
