The role…

We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team here at Community Action: MK as a Community Development and Outreach Worker (Cancer support for Minority Ethnic and Faith Communities). The role is focused on undertaking a programme of outreach within the Milton Keynes ethnic minority and faith communities and to build on the research recommendations (see here), engaging and working with these communities and partners. The aim is to facilitate and enable equitable access to cancer services and support, identifying opportunities for these communities to have a voice and the ability to influence policy and decision making in cancer services.

This is a really vibrant role that will give you the opportunity to get involved with a number of different aspects of our work, as well as outreach to groups and communities. There will be opportunities to coordinate events and meetings, manage information and data, communications, partnership working and gathering intelligence and insights to share with key stakeholders. You will be working as part of our friendly and close-knit team here at Community Action: MK!
