Transition MK are partnering with the Beds.Climate Change Forum to offer people a guided tour and talk on the Marston Vale Forest Centre and its renewable energy activities.

See and hear about 3 types of renewable energy, and enjoy an informative talk by James Russell, Forest Director.

The evening costs £3.50 (payable on the evening) and this includes the tour, talk and light refreshments.

#EngageMK Community Networking – Building Your E-Community

There is just 1 week to go before the Engage MK Networking Event on Building Your E-Community so book your place now!

Social media is a key tool to help us make connections in our communities and reach a wider audience. Come along to the Cruck Barn at Bradwell Abbey on Monday 22nd of June 3.00 – 4.30pm to get some top tips from marketing agency Jersey Road on how using social media can help to expand your networks and share your key message. Plus hear how local charity Willen Hospice use social media to reach out to new audiences.

Our friendly and relaxed event also provides a space to meet with others working in MK communities, so come along to make new contacts, or catch up with the old ones!

The Engage MK Network is a partnership project between Community Action: MK and Safer MK. Our events bring together staff, volunteers and community groups working to support MK communities.

We welcome all staff and volunteers who work with local communities in MK to join us at this event.

Transition MK Film Night – Alternative Ways of Trading

Following on the success of their previous networking events, Transition MK invites you to come along to their next film -showing and talks on the topic of ‘Alternative Ways of Trading’.

They will show films related to alternative currencies, and hear from representatives of the local organisations that are already using alternative methods of trading, including Credit Union, LetNet and Grand Union Regional Currency Association. There are also opportunities to network, and enjoy delicious refreshments.
Entry is free but donations to help them to cover costs are always appreciated.
