What’s it like to live in a new community?

Survey V2 - A4 without bleed

We are asking residents of Broughton Gate and Brooklands to answer a few short questions about what it’s like to live in a new community, and what you would like to see as the area develops.

We will use the information (anonymised of course!) to get a sense of how the community is developing, and share your views with decision makers who are involved in creating new communities to see what lessons can be learned.

As a ‘thank you’ for your time we will enter you into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher.

Click here to access the survey or email Hannah@communityactionmk.org for more information.

image006

Following our stakeholder event in January this year, which we held to update you on the Healthcare Review and the steps we’re taking to improve future local healthcare across Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, we would like to invite you to join us at one of our Stakeholder Forums being held in April. This will be an opportunity for you to hear the early thinking that has emerged from recent clinical discussions and to share your views.

Specifically we will:

  • outline the issues and challenges facing healthcare in our area
  • share with you clinical views on future service provision
  • encourage your feedback on the early thinking
  • offer you the opportunity to ask questions and gain points of clarification
  • talk about next steps

Your input is invaluable to us and we are committed to ensuring your feedback can help to shape future recommendations that will be developed further before wider public consultation.

Wednesday 20 April

Milton Keynes Christian Centre, Strudwick Drive, Oldbrook, Milton Keynes MK6 2TG

Time: 2.00pm – 5.00pm

Confirm your attendance and any special requirements for access by email to communications@bedsandmkhealth.org by Wednesday 13 April. (There are also events in Bedfordshire if you cant make the MK ones)

Plan MK – consultation ends soon!

The consultation period for Plan MK is due to close on 6th April 2016.

Once adopted Plan MK will decide how much new development is needed in MK and where it should go, and will include detailed policies that will be used when the Council make decisions on planning applications.

The consultation seeks feedback on the development directions that emerged as part of Plan MK workshops which were held in spring last year. Your input to this will help to prepare a vision and development strategy for Plan MK.

Click here for more information on the consultation.
