Behind the scenes of volunteering with

Community Action: MK

One of our local charities asked us for help to improve their outside learning area for their pupils in preparation for their 25th year celebration in May 2017.

To ensure all the work is carried out in time we have recruited 164 volunteers. Who we have scheduled over a 6 day period. The volunteers will be revamping a large decking area, building a base in preparation of a shed relocation, tidying a polytunnel to give extra space, removing brambles, cutting back bushes, repairing raised beds, making new raised beds and weeding the planted beds.

For this activity to be a success and fulfill the charities expectations and those of the volunteers we have procured materials such as railway sleeper, a ton of sand, creocoat and brooms.

We would like to thank Network Rail, Ringway, National Trust Stowe and Travis Perkins for their generosity for the materials and skills.
