Clare Walton, CEO

Having worked in the voluntary sector in Milton Keynes for 16 years, I have unfailing belief in the power of three things: people, curiosity and cake. Committed to ensuring Community Action: MK provides the very best services to the voluntary sector in Milton Keynes, I bring a wealth of experience, a dedication to collaboration and the ability to pose challenging questions to my role as Chief Executive of Community Action: MK.

Robbie Macpherson, COO

I am in charge of operations – making sure we deliver what we agreed with our funders. This means supporting our Contract Leads to ensure delivery is on time, to quality and cost. I also support some of the contract work directly and love to help people connect our different contracts so they have an increased impact. My interest in Appreciative Inquiry and Positive Psychology explains why I am involved with Community Action: MK.

Alissa Pemberton, IT & Communications Manager

I’ve worked with Community Action: MK in a number of different capacities over the years and am currently supporting the development of our technology to improve the way we communicate and connect communities with each other. I love the way that words, images and data can help us communicate the rich tapestry of community life in our city.

Julie Webb, Resourcing Manager and Development Team Member

I support a number of projects as part of the Development Team. I have worked in Milton Keynes’s voluntary and community sector for over 12 years, and at CA: MK for 5. I love working for the organisation as it gives me the opportunity to support a huge range of people to take action and make a real difference in their communities.

Laura Jeffrey, Office Manager

Although new to Milton Keynes, I am passionate about working with communities to explore their ideas for innovation, community involvement and environmental sustainability.

Stewart Ikin, Development Team Member

I enjoy supporting local residents from all backgrounds and ages in becoming more engaged with their neighbourhoods, and in having a voice in everything which affects them, their families and their fellow residents. I thrive on working with volunteers who are the  ‘lifeblood’ of Milton Keynes. I am passionate about young people feeling part of their communities, and champion those who feel they don’t have a chance to become involved. I was born and have lived in Milton Keynes most of my life and feel a real affinity for the area and the people. Like MK I am officially over 50!

Sarah Thurstans
