Diane Webber – Chair
Diane is a town planner who has lived and worked in Milton Keynes for over 17 years. She believes that constructive and effective community engagement is a key part of the planning process and has worked with CA:MK over many years on the development of new growth areas, including the Western Expansion Area. Through her previous role in the Development Plans team at Milton Keynes Council, Diane has a good understanding of the many challenges and opportunities that the area faces and what role CA:MK can play in supporting communities through these over the coming years

Gavin Gager – Treasurer
Gavin has broad experience in treasury management, property management and equity investment portfolios, bringing a wealth of financial expertise into his treasurer role with CAMK, alongside his extensive experience of supporting a number of community-based projects across Milton Keynes. Gavin works closely with our CEO and Finance Manager to oversee the accounts and financial procedures.

Danny Conway
For a very long time Milton Keynes has been home to Danny Conway, and he has contributed hugely to the strength of the community through his years working  in the community and social services for MK Council. Danny’s passion for helping people to help themselves has resulted in initiatives such as Moorlands Family Centre, Springfield Youth Club, bringing the Family Group Conference model to MK and of course working with Community Action MK (or MKCVO as it was then) to launch the Community Mobiliser service.

Julie Dawes
Working for The Parks Trust on events management and community engagement is Julie’s day job. We are thrilled to have Julie on the Board because of her commitment to the city and her ideas on how open spaces can be vibrant and well-used. Julie has worked alongside CA: MK on many projects and knows the organisation well already.

Sola Ewedemi
Sola is currently the minister in charge of Kings Court Chapel, Milton Keynes, Sola has a wide range of experience in finance management for a variety of public, private and voluntary organisations and describes himself as a ‘commercially aware charity leader’.

Lisa Emmanuel
Lisa has more than thirty years experience working with communities in both a voluntary and professional capacity, with 17 years in Milton Keynes working alongside parish councils and a variety of partner organisations. Lisa believes strongly in ensuring local communities are involved in local decision making, having been involved in the development and adoption of neighbourhood plans in Milton Keynes. Lisa has worked alongside CAMK on a number of projects to empower and involve local communities

.June Harrison
June has years of experience as a volunteer coordinator, supporting the work of Moorlands Children’s Centre and Community Centre in Beanhill and has a City & Guilds qualification in volunteering. June has supported the Community Action: MK’s past Community Mobiliser work in her capacity as a local resident/ volunteer and has a breadth of experience, and passion for working with/ and supporting the community-led action in her neighbourhood and across Milton Keynes.

Anthony Lands
Anthony Lands works full time as a Primary School PE teacher on the Lakes Estate and is a part time football coach for Milton Keynes Dons. Anthony is very passionate about supporting the young people within his community. He has shown this real commitment to his neighbourhood by being involved with the Lakes community for over a decade. This started in his teenage years when volunteering through the Community Mobiliser Programme set up by Community Action: MK when it was called MKCVO

Clare Walton
Chief Executive

I have worked for Community Action: MK in various roles for nearly twenty years. 
I can help with strategic partnerships and issues facing the VCSE in Milton Keynes.  In particular I can help with Alliance building and creating networks.  I am really interested in what is happening to the sector whether you are a volunteer in a tiny group or a Chief Executive in a large organisation.

Anna Kils-Davies
Group Support and Communications Manager 

I have worked for Community Action: MK since 2015, starting as a Community Mobiliser. I currently lead Community Action: MK’s Group Support programme, delivered as part of the Strengthening Groups Workstream. I am also involved in developing  the various networks that we facilitate and support. I am passionate about social, racial and environmental justice and really keen to champion these values – at Community Action: MK and within our local VCSE sector!
I can help with Group Support, Communications and queries related to Mental Health Alliance.

Josan Race
Community Development Manager

I started my journey with Community Action: MK as a volunteer, I studied and practised community development and began my employment in 2007. I have worked across Milton Keynes in various areas including the large new developments. I can be contacted on Josan@communityactionmk.org.
I can help support residents to become more involved in their communities. This includes signposting to existing services or enabling and empowering communities to start their own. I arrange activities to help  integrate new communities with the existing areas of Milton Keynes. 

Julie Webb
Networks and Partnerships Manager

I have worked with Community Action: MK for 10 years, and during this time I have been involved in a huge range of projects and work areas.
I can help groups interested in getting involved in networks like the Mental Health, or VCSE Alliance, and any VCSE organisations interested in getting the voices of the people they work with heard more effectively by service providers or decision makers.

Kelly Johnson
Group Support & Communications Coordinator

I work across the organisation supporting the way we develop our Group Support systems and data collection. I take point on how we present our communications both internally and externally. I am passionate about our commitment to staff wellbeing within our organisation.
I can help with any queries related to group support and am the main point of contact for communication-related queries.

Camille Poole
Volunteering Coordinator


I joined the Community Action: MK team in Spring 2022, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know the vibrant Milton Keynes volunteer network, through organising events for Volunteers Week and our regular drop-in activities. 
I can provide support and advice on all things volunteering, including promoting and finding volunteer roles.

Grace Adeyinka
Development Officer BLMK ICS (Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes Integrated Care System)

I support with the development of strategic partnerships between the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector and the health and social care system.
I can help with developing a shared understanding of the health and social care system across the BLMK geography and coordinating activities that enable VCSE sector leaders to inform strategic decision making and that demonstrate the impact of partnerships between the VCSE and the ICS. Such as supporting the development of a VCSE alliance. 

Hanifa Umar
Community Development & Outreach Worker: Cancer Support ( Ethnic Minority & Faith Communities)

I am the Community Development and Outreach worker for Cancer Support for Ethnic Minorities and Faith Communities. 
I joined Community Action: MK in Spring 2023 in this unique role that works in Partnership with the Macmillan Charity. My role includes enabling, empowering and co-producing with Ethnic Minority Groups and Faith Communities to raise Cancer awareness, improve cultural representation and engagement within Cancer Care and Support Services across Milton Keynes.

Aimee Tidman
Group Support and Outreach Worker

I joined Community Action in September 2023, I work mainly in new communities in Milton Keynes to help them become resilient and connected. I am also involved in the Climate Action Network and some areas of Mental Health and wellbeing. I am passionate about the environment and social justice. I can help residents get more involved in their communities by helping them find existing services or helping communities to start their own. I can help arrange events and activities to help  support new communities feel more integrated into the city.

I joined Community Action: MK in autumn 2023 and I work closely with the Mental Health Alliance to support the VCSE groups involved. I can help groups become involved with the Mental Health Alliance and welcome any communications and queries related to this.
