Clare Walton, Interim CEO
Having worked in the voluntary sector in Milton Keynes for 16 years, I have unfailing belief in the power of three things: people, curiosity and cake. Committed to ensuring Community Action: MK provides the very best services to the voluntary sector in Milton Keynes, I bring a wealth of experience, a dedication to collaboration and the ability to pose challenging questions to my role as Interim Chief Executive of Community Action: MK.
Robbie Macpherson, COO
I am in charge of operations – making sure we deliver what we agreed with our funders. This means supporting our Contract Leads to ensure delivery is on time, to quality and cost. I also supports some of the contract work directly and love to help people connect our different contracts so they have an increased impact. My interest in Appreciative Inquiry and Positive Psychology explains why I am involved with Community Action: MK.
If you have an idea about voluntary activity that you want to see in your community I can give you advice about how to get things started, I also give governance advice to existing groups. In addition I am a funding advice worker so I can meet with you to help you get ready for funding, I run searches for funders which are appropriate for your activities and projects and can also support the development of those applications. All support is offered on a one to one basis, just call or drop us a line to make an appointment.
As Operational Lead: Volunteering and with 16 years experience, I support local charities and community groups with advice on best practice in Volunteer Management, including recruitment and retention of volunteers.
I also meet with potential volunteers and support them in finding the most suitable volunteering role. Need more information or advice? Then get in touch to arrange an appointment.
As part of the Support, Development & Volunteering Team at Community Action MK, I run the weekly Drop In session where I give Advice & Guidance on volunteering to members of the public. I also offer 1:1 appointments. Please call me if you would like further information.
