Hi, I am Josan, the community mobiliser for the Eastern Expansion Areas. I cover Broughton Gate and Brooklands. I am being supported by another member of our team, Clare, who helps me deliver our work on a strategic level.

It has been so exciting to see the Eastern Expansion Area flourish into such a fantastic new community. It’s still developing so fast and there are so many people moving to the area from within Milton Keynes, but also from across Britain and from overseas. There are many groups already thriving across the area so I have a light touch approach now, I am always available when needed.

Need any info or support then contact Josan on 07738405371, alternatively, email at josan@communityactionmk.org or join us on Facebook.

What’s it like to live in a new community?

We are asking residents of Broughton Gate and Brooklands to answer a few short questions about what it’s like to live in a new community, and what you would like to see as the area develops.

We will use the information (anonymised of course!) to get a sense of how the community is developing, and share your views with decision makers who are involved in creating new communities to see what lessons can be learned.

As a ‘thank you’ for your time we will enter you into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher.

Click here to access the survey or email caroline@communityactionmk.org for more information.

Broughton and Brooklands

Brooklands is still expanding, Broughton Gate is now completed. This community is near to the M1 so makes commuting easy. The green spaces are very well designed and natural. Here’s our latest video looking at what’s happening in the expansion areas of Milton Keynes (The EEA (Broughton Gate and Brooklands) as well Tattenhoe Park) through the Community Involvement Programme.

New Communities Fund
