Joining Community Action: MK’s volunteering platform on Do-IT will allow you to share and promote your trustee roles, as well as your events and other projects. This free online platform is a great space to connect organisations and volunteers from across the city, and facilitate opportunities to collaborate within our vibrant VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) Sector in Milton Keynes.
To get started, create an organisation’s admin account. This will allow you to upload your volunteering opportunities, share your work and you join the directory of organisations across MK – a really useful function for you and for potential volunteers. Our online community offers the option of sharing not only volunteering roles but the work you are doing, including upcoming events and other resources.
Further information and support:
Please refer to our videos that guide you through the various functions on our Do-it site. More information related to volunteering, e.g. some tips on how to develop a volunteering role and best practice in managing volunteers, can be found on the Information Sheets section of our website here.
Promoting your volunteering roles further:
Finally, we can also advertise your roles through our communication channels. You can email info@communityactionmk.org to find out more about guest blog opportunities on our website and adding content to our weekly e-newsletter. You can sign up here to receive our weekly e-newsletter and stay up to date with the voluntary and community sector in MK.
