This week we have the MK Discovery Centre joining us from 11am – 12pm, and then Volunteering Matters from 12pm – 1pm. MK City Discovery Centre is an educational charity set in 12 acres of woodland. With a community garden and gardening club. You can come help us grow fruit and veg! Come & talk to Volunteering Matters about their Stepping Stones project. Find out about how you can get involved and support young people leaving mental health inpatient services. Come along and see what the groups have to offer and how you can get involved! We will be there from 9am – 1pm so why not pop along and chat to us!
Autumn Craft With Community Action MK And Woodlands Children’s Centre

Come and join Woodlands Children’s Centre and Community Action: MK at Hanslope Scout Hall, to get involved with all things crafty! You can learn about the Children’s centre and what it has to offer, as well as learning about how you can get involved within your local community, while doing some nifty autumn crafts! Community Action: MK will also be on hand to help with the crafting and to talk about anything to do with your local community, as well as what it’s like to live in Hanslope, how you can get involved in volunteering and whether you yourself would like to set up or take part in any of the local groups! Conniburrow Wellbeing Cafe
Wednesdays 10:30 – 2.30pm
ROC wellbeing group are collaborating with Great Linford Parish Council, the Big Local, the Salvation Army and residents of Conniburrow to open a Wellbeing Cafe on Conniburrow. The Cafe will be open on Wednesdays 10:30am to 2pm and will offer tea, coffee, soft drinks, sandwiches, toasties and paninis and cakes. We are starting with craft activities and will add to this as we hear and respond to local need. Find out more here.
MK Afro Diaspora Awards

M & G Productions, a voluntary organisation in Milton Keynes, is carrying out its 2nd Afro /Caribbean Diaspora Awards Night in Milton Keynes. As a group they support, promote and organise events for unemployed over 18’s with Creative Media skills within the MK community. MK Afro Diaspora Awards 2021 is an annual event which promotes achievements, commitments, and contributions made by Black Afro Caribbean individuals, companies and associations within the Milton Keynes community. These outstanding individuals will be awarded based on their credits, hard work and popularity by votes casted by their supporters. Find out more and book your tickets here.
