We undertake outreach in our local New Communities, where new challenges are met as housing developments expand. Our aim is to foster connections with local stakeholders and provide a voice to the residents of the New Communities developing in New Communities, so they can be heard at a decision-making level.
We have put together a short video showcasing the work we have been carrying out in the existing new communities in Milton Keynes from 2019 – 2023, including the challenges that arose as part of the Covid-19 pandemic. You can view the video below:

Our Outreach Programme
We are currently delivering a new programme of outreach activities – the latest updates on our outreach activities and ways to get involved are shared through our weekly newsletter you can see the upcoming events there too! Our activities combine opportunities for local residents to find out more about what is happening in their local areas, what the volunteering opportunities are and how they could start new or develop existing voluntary groups and projects! Come and say hello to our team – you can find their contact details at the bottom of this page!
We listen to the needs of the local people and record any key insights on our MK Community Data Tool, so that the information based on their lived experience (their issues and ideas) can be fed into the local planning and decision making – so that their voices are heard.
In the past two years we have held regular drop-ins at the Whitehouse Surgery in Whitehouse (MK8 1EQ) to engage with the local residents. We’ve also had various community groups joining us to promote their work and their volunteering opportunities. You can hear from some of those who have already joined us here.
