What is MiDos?

MiDoS is an NHS-led platform and an online directory that provides important information about local services. It includes the NHS Directory of Services (DoS), details about community teams, and voluntary services in Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes (BLMK). The platform offers guidance from a range of sources and helps connect people with health and voluntary sector services in their area.
Launched publicly in November 2025, MiDoS was developed over the past couple of years and is already being used by healthcare professionals and some VCSE organisations. It’s now open for residents to access, making it easier for them to find the support they need.
Community Action: MK has supported an outreach programme to encourage local VCSE groups across BLMK to register on MiDoS. This work has been a collaboration with the BLMK Integrated Care Board and CVS Beds.
If you haven’t registered your group yet, now is a great time to do so!
Who is the platform for?
The platform is designed for anyone seeking local support services, including health, voluntary, and other statutory services, based on their postcode. It’s accessible to local organisations, professionals (for signposting), and residents alike, helping connect people with the services they need in their area.
What are the benefits of signing up to MiDos as an organisation?

The main advantage of signing up for MiDoS as a voluntary group or organisation is that your services will be visible to GPs, social prescribers, and other health professionals, as well as through a public portal – once this is live.
This will help raise awareness of your group and ensures local residents can easily find the support they need.
