On the 2nd October we were thrilled to host our 2025 Annual General Meeting. And as usual, our biggest calendar event of the year did not disappoint! Read on to find out how it went…

We really wanted our AGM this year to be about getting the message out about what we do as the local infrastructure organisation in Milton Keynes, and the number of different ways we try and support the voluntary and community sector.
We have been working on a short video that captures the essence of what the team at Community Action: MK do, as we recognise that it can often be difficult to explain this in a a simple sentence or two. This film only scratches the surface of Community Action: MK and we wanted to give you an insight into the breadth of work we carry out, as well as put names to face of out staff team that work tirelessly to support the voluntary and community groups in Milton Keynes.
We showed this at our AGM to our attendees, and now we want to share it with you! (click below)
We would also like to give a special thanks to Mayor Councillor James Lancaster for attending and opening the informal part of our event, as well as his powerful and inspiring words about the impact of the voluntary and community groups on our local communities in Milton Keynes.
This year, we also had the opportunity to hear from some groups that we have helped and supported over the years, and we are incredibly grateful that they were able to take the time to support and champion the work we do that has, in turn, helped them to support the communities of Milton Keynes and make an impact on their organisations and service users. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank them for their eloquence and authentic words when speaking at our AGM, championing us as an organisation and for shining a light on the fantastic work they do across Milton Keynes.
We also held a workshop with our attendees to understand more about what groups and organisations in Milton Keynes need and how we might support them. These conversations were a fantastic way to get like-minded individuals and organisations talking, connecting and networking – coming together to highlight the needs of the sector, to have those important conversations around key topics and challenges they are encountering with the communities they work within, and find out how we as an organisation can best support them to do what they do best!
