Role: Volunteer Drivers
Do you enjoy driving? Why not combine the good you can do through volunteering with a chance to explore your local area, engaging in good conversation, by driving blind and partially sighted people from their homes to local activities using your own vehicle?

What you will be doing?
Drive to BucksVision social groups and activities; sighted guiding.
What skills and experience are needed?
- Friendly and professional attitude, reliable and punctual
- Willingness to work independently
- Full Driver’s License
- Valid MOT certificate and proof of insurance
Role: Social and Activity Group Coordinator Volunteers
Are you friendly and outgoing, with awesome organisational and planning skills? This is an exciting opportunity to become a Social and Activity Group Coordinator. Groups typically meet fortnightly, providing entertainment and guest speakers. Most of all, they’re a chance for blind and partially sighted people to gain valuable peer support and reduce social isolation.
What you will be doing?
Plan and organise a programme of entertainment and activities; ensure venue is set up and put away; maintain a record of attendees; encourage service users to engage; coordinate and support volunteers present to ensure the group runs smoothly; liaise with divisional volunteer committee.

The volunteers really enjoy the activities and build fantastic relationships with our members, sharing stories and experiences from the past. Most volunteers only need to commit 2-3 hours per fortnight and can get as involved as they’d like, whether that’s just driving or participating in the activities as well.

About BucksVision
BucksVision has been supporting people with sight loss for over 100 years.
They offer a wide range of services delivered by a small, dedicated staff team and fantastic team of volunteers working across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Social groups include:
- Eye For Art Group: A craft group meeting on the first Tuesday of each month, 10am to 1pm, located in Springfield MK6 3JH.
- Walking Group: Meets at various locations around Milton Keynes twice a month on Saturdays or Sundays.
- Lunch Bunch Group: Meets on the first Monday of each month at different locations across MK.
- Partridge Social Group: Meets fortnightly on Thursdays from 2:30pm – 4:30pm in Peartree Bridge.
- Wolverton Social Club: Meets fortnightly on Tuesdays from 2pm to 4pm in Stantonbury Fields MK14 6DQ.
